The house has stunning features such as pitch pine panelling with elaborate carvings throughout the hall, minstrel’s gallery and barrel roof, enhanced by original stained glass windows depicting the family coat of arms, which set the scene for the many delights to be found within. Stanhill Court was renovated and opened as a hotel 14 years ago and now comprises of 34 en-suite bedrooms (many of which are 4-poster), 10 conference rooms, the award winning ‘1881’ Restaurant, open-air amphitheatre and secluded Victorian walled garden. All rooms are luxuriously decorated, providing the utmost comfort and elegant country style. Guests can enjoy peace and tranquillity, although located only a short distance from Gatwick Airport, guests can rest assured that they will not be disturbed by low flying aircraft, as they are not in a flight path, but may get to see some deer, sheep or cows grazing peacefully.

In Restaurant 1881, the golden wood panelling glows amid the soft colours of the furnishings in the candlelight, a coal fire in winter enhances the atmosphere, but romance or not, successful business is also discussed at these fine tables. The food is fresh and presented with pride. Dishes can be adjusted to specific tastes. The menu reflects International Cuisine and individual choice of wine from the 200 Bin International Wine List can only add relish to the meal.

The success of an event at Stanhill Court Hotel rests on two tried and tested principals. On the one hand the hotel listens to the needs of the customer, and on the other hand guests can take advantage of the versatility and adaptability, not only are there different rooms adapted to different tastes, but the ability to change things on the day, quickly and without fuss.
